Graphic and editorial design and photography for Humak University's project in Helsinki. 'Pubiaforismikirja' is the result of a series of literary workshops inside different pubs in Eastern Helsinki. The book compiles poems written by the pub's customers, photography documenting the project and some of the original papers with the customers' hand writing.
AFOPUB project involved poets, translators, musicians and an aphorism professor form Humak Univesity. I was involved in the project during its development, further design and also participating as a guest poet. The project happened in collaboration with Stoa Cultural Centre, Sivuvalo project and Helsinki Poetry Connection.
Conceptually I decided to showcase the general atmosphere inside the pubs by portraying iconic objects. A part of the cover is a coaster that can be separated from the book. The project documentation photos inside the pubs were made by Jaime Culebro.
